My New Favorite Website

I don't know about you guys, but I spent a lot of my time in the early 2000s screaming embarrassing pop punk lyrics in my bedroom with my door closed. Look, I never said I was cool, okay? Although I've repeatedly said I'm overly-emotional. Get the connection? So my love for pop punk is sincere and honestly not even embarrassing anymore. I like whiny music. I like music with lyrical content that makes other people wince. That whole "the truth is you could slit my throat, and with my one last gasping breath, I'd apologize for bleeding on your shirt" thing from a Taking Back Sunday song was TOTALLY in my AIM profile back in the day. AND I'M OKAY WITH THAT!!!!!! There is a time and a place for pop punk. Mainly the time was in the early 2000s, and the place is in my bedroom or my car.

Reliving my youth is one of my favorite activities. Mainly because now it doesn't seem nearly as painful and horrible as it did back then. I was a dramatic little 16-year-old, that's for sure. The easiest way to transport myself back to a simpler time is through music. I saw my friend Jordan post this Tumblr on Facebook, and I immediately felt like I was 16 again. The Tumblr is called 2000s Pop Punk, and it literally is a collection of all of my former favorite songs. Some songs I didn't even know I knew, but I found myself jamming along anyway.

So if you're anything like me and spent most of the 2000s locked in your bedroom being emo and having a lot of feelings, go ahead and relive the memories with me :)

You can't tell me you don't know every lyric to this song. Like, somehow the lyrics just crept into a corner of my brain and have lived there for years, even though I have no memory of ever having listened to this song before in my life.

  1. Ugh, I know all of these!

  2. I must have blanked out this time period lol I only remember a few of the songs :P

  3. hahah you're only missing cliche lyrics and angry girls. don't feel bad!

  4. hahahaa loving it! i looooved this sr-71 song :)

Thank you for taking the time to comment! It's lovely hearing from you :)
