Weekend Snapshots {11/20/11}

Happy Monday, Internet. You look strangely happy this Monday morning. Is that because you have a two day work week? I think so. I've got to make it through class today and work tomorrow, and I'm a free woman until next Monday. It sort of makes me want to get in my car and drive somewhere fun until next Sunday night. Alas, there's this pesky thing called Thanksgiving that my family is kind of committed to... oh well. Looks like I'll have to settle for lots of family time and eating. It could be worse :)

This weekend was a blur of work and laziness. Saturday during the day I thrifted until I literally couldn't stand anymore. We went from place to place to place, and by the time we hit our last stop, I was delirious and loopy. It made for some funny moments, but mainly I was just happy to get home and chill out for a little bit. Then my energy level was up 100% because I went to see BREAKING DAWN!!! I'm a huge Twilight nerd, and I'm not even ashamed. The movie was amazing. Like, literally I could talk for hours about how much I loved it. The acting was so much better, and they told the story beautifully. Of course there were giggle-worthy moments, but I can look past that. Most of them were from Jacob, as usual. Edward was flawless, because umm... he's Edward. So cute. Overall the whole movie was just SO GOOD! I even kept the silly little Breaking Dawn special edition cup. Yeah, I don't play around when it comes to my favorite vampires.

Sunday I spent the day working on something super exciting that I suppose I'll finally talk about on le blog: I'm opening up an Etsy vintage shop with my brother's fiance, Megan! We've been working so hard on it, and I can't wait to finally get in launched! I spent Sunday doing fittings and styling for our very first little shoot on Wednesday. Two of my really good family friends are modeling for me. Thank God. The last thing I need to worry about is getting in front of the camera for this shop- I've got enough going on behind the scenes. They seriously fit all the clothes perfectly. I can't believe how great they look in the vintage duds. I've been stress stress stressing about the shoot, but yesterday totally put me at ease. I just know the pictures are going to be beautiful! Fingers crossed.
I'll keep you guys updated about the goings-on with the shop! I'm hoping to launch in the next week or two. Yay!!

How was your weekend? Lots of work or lots of play?

  2. I watched Breaking Dawn yesterday but I didn't like it as much as the others. I almost died when Jacob had the cheesiest line ever as a wolf, it still makes me laugh thinking about it. I can't wait to see your etsy shop :)
