Best Albums of 2011

2011 is coming to a close, which means it's time for my anual Top 10 Albums of the year list! I know you've all been anxiously waiting for this list all year. Well fret no more, kiddos- the list is here!! Now you'll finally know what music you should have actually been listening to all year as opposed to the shit you were clogging your ears with. Duh. Wednesdays usually means outfit post, but today I'm gracing my blog with pretty songs instead of pretty clothes. (I mainly used Spotify links in this post- if you don't have Spotify, you totes should get in on the action. It's perfection! If you're not into that and just want links or a 2011 playlist of awesomeness- email me!)

1. Lady Gaga- Born This Way

Yes, Lady Gaga is my #1 of the year. I will defend this to the death. My love for her is for serious, srsly. She made the perfectly innovative pop album- pushing boundaries in every single way. I know listing her as my #1 basically makes me devoid of any indie street cred, but this is me not caring. She's freaking Gaga, guys. Love love love her until death. Other than that, nothing on the list should really come as a surprise to anyone. A smorgasbord of awesome and somewhat depressing tunes. 2011 was a great year for music.

So that was supposed to be all of my listing for 2011. Well, that didn't happen. The Best Albums of 2011 list was actually incredibly difficult for me to make. I usually zip through it every year, knowing exactly what the order should be, and what won't make the cut. I had a really hard time this year! I felt like some quality albums, EPs and songs were missing. So I made myself some other mini lists, like an absolute whack job. Only true listophiles are this crazy, folks. Don't let it happen to you and your family. Stop before lists become an obsession. Bahhh I can't help it. I love listing!!! I cut myself off at 6 7 8 9 total. That's normal, right?
