2/// The Warrior Group post-run. Don't they look pretty?!
3/// Dad & Johanna posing like champions.
4/// Guys, those hats look really great.

Recently, I have a habit of taking Instagram photos at one weekend event and that's it. I think that's probably more due to the fact that I keep on doing one interesting thing per weekend and then spending the rest of the weekend recuperating. 24-years-young, guys! Somebody get me my all white New Balances, a bowl of vegetable soup and an air humidifier, STAT.

This weekend was the Warrior Dash up in Flint, Michigan. If you're unfamiliar with this race for the insane- allow me to explain: the Warrior Dash is a 5K race complete with super intense obstacles throughout the course- mud pits with barbed wire, a cargo wall, jumping over fire, etc. It looked absolutely terrifying. And yes, my 53-year-old Dad ran it with my friend Johanna. Not to brag on behalf of my Dad or anything, but he finished with a time of 36:32- sixth in his age group. Impressed much? I know! I mean, I literally get tired just thinking about that. What is wrong with my life? Clearly A LOT. Oh, and Johanna did amazing, too! I still can't get over the fact that they both finished and lived to tell the tale. They're total badasses. Who jumps over fire on the weekends for fun?! Crazies, I tell you! I have some pretty awesome photos to share later this week. Get stoked! Anyone else compete in a Warrior Dash before?... Did your survive?

Hope you're all having a good start to your week! I'm in full on Olympics mode. Volleyball obsessed & screaming my way through men's gymnastics. {I FREAK when they mess up!!}

  1. Great shots! And congrats to your dad and your friend - good for them for doing a warrior dash. I would take the photographing over the running any day. LOL

  2. Congratulations to your father and friend. I agree, this does seem crazy. I can't even picture running a 5k, let alone with obstacles and fire!
    Also, I'm with you on the gymnastics. That's all that my people are doing for the next two weeks it seems like. I had to drag my boyfriend away from the tv today so he would go swimming with me today. It was hot.so it was definitely worth it. Besides, he records the olympics. He doesn't have to watch it "live"!

    1. That's what I do, too! I record everything and watch it back later. That way I can fast forward through all the BS. Smart move!!
