Weekend Snapshots {Cedar Point Edition}

Follow me on Instagram- @carmenmariah
1/// With Johanna & my Dad, gleefully entering the park {this photo was taken in between our sporadic outbursts of "OMG WE'RE HERE!" filled with clapping.}
2/// First ride of the day- MILLENNIUM FORCE!
3/// Sky Ride! {Apparently, back in the day, kids used to get high while on the Sky Ride. We never did because we were GOOD KIDS. Obviously a missed opportunity for hooliganism.}
4/// Jo, Me & Madre on the Space Spiral, which they're tearing down!
5/// My Dad playing in the fountain. 5-years-old?
6/// Mom & Jo on the Troika Troika Troika! {I avoid rides like this because they make me want to vom.}
7/// Blue tongues from Icees!
8/// The Wind Seeker! {Again, I avoid rides like this because I would srsly vomit before even exiting the ride. I prefer roller coasters, because I'm hardcore like that.}

Ah, Cedar Point, how I love you so. We had SO much fun! The PERFECT day. We were at the park for over 12 hours- that's serious dedication right there. Favorites of the day- Millennium, the Raptor, and surprisingly the Magnum. Even though we went on a Saturday, the lines weren't that outrageous. The longest we waited was an hour and 45 min for the Top Thrill Dragster. #worthit! You know how the day after Christmas feels like the worst day of the year when you're a kid because you have to wait 365 days for Santa to come back? Well, the day after Cedar Point Day feels like that for me as an adult. I mean, I loved Cedar Point as a kid, but it was always there, seemingly in my backyard, whenever I wanted to go. Now that I'm peacing out of Ohio, I don't know when I'll be going back to CP... and that makes my heart sad. Cedar Point is srsly the happiest place on Earth. Coasters, fried food, pointing out people with Mullets... It just doesn't get any better than that. Any Midwest kids out there know of this magical land of which I speak? If you haven't been, it's worth a random trip to Ohio, honestly. No other coasters compare. I'm going to stop myself now because if I don't, I could seriously blab on and on about roller coasters for the next hour. But I'll spare you all.

Cedar Point, you have my heart.

  1. Ooh, lovely! I live in England now but I used to live in Erie, PA & adore Cedar Point! Top thrill dragster is definitely the best thrill (unless you can get on Kingda Ka in NJ). Love these pictures, they're wonderful! :) It feels great knowing I'm not the only one who'll devote an entire post to this place. :P xx

  8. I've been to Cedar Point. Long ago. All I remember was it poured down rain basically the whole time and we visited The Berenstein Bears tree house and got our picture taken with Sister Bear. It was legit. Nowadays, I do not ride rides. Too scary for this girl.
