November Goals

Every month, I like to make a little list of goals/ to-do's. I usually keep this stuff under wraps because sometimes they're as simple as "get a job" or "stop buying gallon jugs of sangria at the grocery store." {Srsly, it's a problem.} But I was inspired by a few other bloggers today and thought I'd share some of my November goals. Here we go:

1. Drink More Water/Less Diet Coke- Okay, this is almost always a goal of mine every month/New Years. It's really a problem. I drink about 4-5 Diet Cokes a day and maaaaybe 2-3 glasses of water. That's not okay. By the end of November, I'm going to be drinking water like a fish! {Okay, let's be realistic- I'll be happy if I'm just drinking more water than Diet Coke.}

2. Act more. Talk & Analyze Less.- I'm the queen of over-analyzing everything. I talk everything to death. I make everyone listen for hours as I essentially debate with myself over a decision. It's not fun. & it doesn't help anything! So instead of spending my energy complaining and over-thinking and over-talking everything, I'd like to start doing. Making changes instead of obsessing over things I want to change. Ah, life.

3. Get Dressed More Often- Okay, it's not that I don't get dressed everyday. But most days I'm in jeans and a top and flats. BORING. When I was in Ohio, I used any excuse to get gussied up and wear weird clothes & high heels. Now that I'm in LA, I've started dressing a little more relaxed and a little less "me." Granted, a lot of that has to do with the fact that no one feels like layering when it's 90 degrees outside {ew, gross- sweat.} But still. I want to try to dress like I give a shit more often than not.

4. Spend Time Working on Design- I've always been someone who will sit down at my computer and just write for hours on end- about anything and everything. And when I'm not doing that, I'm reading any of a billion blogs I follow or stalking celebs. {Okay, who else is pissed that K Stew and R Patz are back together?} But I want to start investing a few more of those computer hours every week on design, just playing around in Illustrator and Photoshop. It's not that I want to spend even more time on my computer, but I want to be more productive with my time spent in front of the screen.

5. Live Tweet the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills- What?! I'm entitled to one fun goal per month! I've always wanted to live blog or tweet an event & I figure this Monday's premiere of RHOBH is pretty much the perfect occasion. I mean, it's probably my favorite show ever, so I might as well go for it. If it goes well and everyone doesn't unfollow me because I'm annoying, I might do it again. We'll see. Follow along on Twitter!

That's it for November goals. Seems pretty doable, right? Fingers crossed! I'll let you all know at the end of the month how I did. Wish me luck!

  1. I can totally relate with #1&3! Your #1 goal is a constant goal of mine as well, but insert dr. pepper instead. I start doing super and then all the sudden it's downhill, haha. I have lived in Orange County for 3 years and I feel like I'm way more boring in the way I dress than when I lived back home in Oklahoma. What is up with that! And hello 90 degrees you may leave anytime now!

  3. Wow, good goals. I don't set goals cause I'm too lazy to meet them. Isn't that terrible??? LOL
